Mom 4 is the fourth and final movie in the Mom series that started in 2017. The series is inspired by the 1991 Hollywood movie The Stepfather and revolves around the theme of maternal love and justice. Sridevi plays the role of Devki Sabarwal, a biology teacher who is married to Anand, a businessman. She has two daughters, Arya and Priya, from her previous marriage. Arya is estranged from Devki and considers her stepfather as her real father.
In the first movie, Mom, Devki faces a nightmare when Arya is gang-raped by four men on Valentine's Day. The police fail to arrest the culprits due to lack of evidence and Devki decides to take the law into her own hands. She hires a private detective, Daya Shankar Kapoor aka DK, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, to track down the rapists and kill them one by one. She also gets help from a cop, Mathew Francis, played by Akshaye Khanna, who sympathizes with her cause.
In the second movie, Mom 2: Revenge of the Daughter, Devki faces another challenge when Priya is kidnapped by a mysterious man who claims to be Arya's biological father. He demands that Devki confesses her crimes and surrenders to the police or he will kill Priya. Devki realizes that the kidnapper is none other than Jagan, one of the rapists who survived her wrath. She teams up with DK and Mathew again to rescue Priya and confront Jagan.
In the third movie, Mom 3: The Final Chapter, Devki faces the ultimate test when she discovers that Anand has been cheating on her with his secretary, Nisha. She also learns that Nisha is pregnant with Anand's child and plans to blackmail him for money. Devki decides to end her marriage and expose Nisha's true intentions. However, she soon realizes that Nisha is not an ordinary woman but a psychopath who wants to destroy Devki and her family.
